The Semedorato Brewery was inaugurated on 8 August 2014, but the origins of this virtuous activity dedicated to beverages are a little less recent. The company to which it belongs dates back to 2010, and already had a seed factory that dealt with the cultivation, production and storage of wheat and barley. The construction and commissioning of the brewery effectively closed a 0 km supply chain, making Semedorato the only brewery in Europe to manage the entire production process on site.
The four founding partners of the imposing Sicilian company are Franco Indorato, Carmelo Indorato, Toni Scalia and Calogero Fonti.
The business grew on the market immediately at an astonishing speed: in fact, it went from a production capacity of around 12 thousand hectoliters of beer in the first year, up to around 25 thousand hectoliters in 2023, with a trend that enjoys an annual increase variable between 20 and 30%.
The catalog today focuses on four products:
Semedorato Premium, a blonde Lager with 5 alcohol levels, distributed throughout the Sicilian, national and European territory. Made exclusively with water, barley malt and hops, it won first place in the Cerevisia competition;
Semerossa Doppio Malto, a 7% red wine, awarded at the Beer Award in London as the best Italian Dortmunder style beer;
La Himera, an artisanal 6 degrees unfiltered and unpasteurized. This too was awarded First Place in London in 2017;
Finally, the latest arrival, Semedorato Summa, a beer with low alcohol content, 4.7, a product that is bringing enormous satisfaction to large-scale retail trade.
